Finding a GIS Selection

Sometimes when working with large GIS jobs it is difficult to locate a particular GIS feature within the "Design Workspace" of the Design Assistant. The Find GIS Selection tool was created to help you in this task.

The general procedure for finding a selected GIS feature within the Design Assistant consists of these steps:

Open the GIS design in the Design Assistant.
In the GIS application, select the feature you want to locate.
From the Design Assistant application, select the "Find GIS Selection" function found under the Actions pull down.

If the selected GIS feature is found within your design, the work location that contains the feature will be expanded and highlighted within the "Design Workspace" of the Design Assistant.
